Build MIDI clips one at a time for UA Console (scenes, Auto-Tune, tap tempo), preview exactly what each sends, and download just the one you need.
What this clip does
1Look up a song
Type a title and artist, describe the song, or paste a link. Claude identifies it and writes down measures, key and BPM.
Claude isn't built into this website, so this takes one hand-off: copy the brief, paste it to Claude, then paste Claude's answer here. One answer fills in the analysis below and adds the chord chart to Simply Chart. Answers to a Simply Chart brief work here too.
Claude answers from what it knows about the recording. It can't open links or listen to audio from this page, so a link only works when the title is in the link text, and every number is an estimate until you check it. Fix anything below and it stays fixed. For a link or an obscure song, send it to Claude in chat and it can research it and file the result here.
2Analyzed songs
Measures = length × BPM ÷ 60 ÷ beats per bar. Change length, BPM or time signature and measures follow, unless you type the measure count yourself.
§Section clips
Empty, named, colored clips for laying out a song in Ableton. Set each one's title, length and color, then download one or all. Ableton (.alc) clips keep the name and color exactly; .mid keeps the name and length only.
Clip lengths assume 4/4. Colors match Ableton's clip palette; the swatches here are close to, not exactly, what Live shows.
1Auto-Tune MIDI
Type the CC numbers into Auto-Tune ▸ Settings ▸ Preferences ▸ MIDI Control (MIDI Learn doesn't work inside Console).
Each parameter can send on its own channel. Different channels only work if Auto-Tune listens on Omni.
Ableton only sends a clip's CC data while a note plays, so each parameter holds its own carrier note on its channel.
2Parameters
One row per Auto-Tune parameter. Set its CC, channel and carrier note here; open Customize for its values, bypass, and to make clips just for that parameter (like your FLEX cc17 clips).
1Plug-In Scenes
Scenes are how MIDI reaches every other effect in Console (reverbs, delays, comps, EQ, amps). One Program Change recalls all of them for a song.
2Your Console inserts
The plug-ins that change between songs. Each one becomes a column in the scene sheet.
3Scene sheet
Write what each insert should be per song. In Console, dial it in, pick the scene number (Cmd+E), and Save. Console tempo is saved into the scene too.
1Tap tempo
Console can't follow MIDI clock or your DAW's tempo, but it takes tap tempo over MIDI (4+ taps). Synced delays and modulation follow it.
2Tempo and delay times
Tap or type a tempo for delay and LFO times on effects without Tempo Sync. Space bar taps too.

0Batch teach
Drop a whole set of clips that each set one parameter to a different value. I'll work out which CC they use and how the clip names map to CC values, then save them all as lessons in one go. Works with .mid and Ableton .alc files.
Name each clip after its setting (“30”, “F#”, “Minor”). Names are how I learn the mapping.
TTeach me one clip
Load a MIDI or Ableton clip, tell me what it does, and save it as a lesson. I'll read it back to you, rebuild it with changes, and use your lessons as examples when generating new clips.

Transpose skips drums (ch10). Control messages (CC, program change) are copied exactly.

♪Chord sketchpad
Type chords, hear them, and export MIDI for Ableton. Separate from the setlist; sketches save on their own.
Bars split with |, chords inside a bar share it evenly. - holds the last chord, % repeats the last bar, NC rests. No bars typed? Each chord gets one bar.
Export gives you a .zip with one MIDI file for all tracks, plus one per track, ready to drag into Ableton.
?How it all connects
ABLETONSong clipOne MIDI track, MIDI To = IAC Driver, channel All.
MACIAC DriverAudio MIDI Setup ▸ MIDI Studio ▸ IAC ▸ Device is online.
CONSOLESettings ▸ MIDIDevice = IAC. Set the Scenes and Tap Tempo channels and events.
PLUG-INSAuto-Tune + scenesAuto-Tune reads its CCs; scenes recall every other insert.
Auto-Tune
Auto-Tune Realtime has its own MIDI preferences: an input channel (or Omni) and a CC number per parameter.
MIDI notes can drive it too: To Notes tunes to held notes, and Learn Scale builds a scale from incoming notes.
MIDI Learn isn't available in UAD Console, and UA doesn't document how CC values map to the Key and Scale menus, so calibrate once.
Plug-In Scenes
Up to 128 scenes. Program Change 0–127 recalls scenes 1–128, or notes C-1 to G9. MIDI recalls are instant.
Scenes recall plug-in parameters, each plug-in's own on/off switch, and Console tempo.
Scenes don't recall faders, sends, cues, mutes, solos, or Unison preamp switches, and they can't add or remove plug-ins. Re-save every scene after adding an insert.
Auto-Tune is a plug-in, so scenes should recall its key and scale too. The song clips send Auto-Tune CCs right after the scene, so the CCs win either way.
Tempo
Console tempo drives plug-ins with Tempo Sync on. It's set by typing, tapping, MIDI taps (4+), or a scene recall.
No MIDI clock and no DAW tempo. A looping one-tap-per-beat clip is the way to follow Ableton.
If both Scenes and Tap Tempo use Note events, they need different channels.
Faders, mutes and sends
Not reachable over MIDI in Console itself. The third-party UA Midi Control app covers volume, mute, pan, solo, sends and preamp controls in its free version.
